Leonardo De Lorenzo (1875-1962) è stato uno dei maggiori flautisti del XX secolo.
Principal flute presso l'Orchestra Filarmonica di New York diretta da Gustav Mahler, è stato molto attivo anche come didatta e autore di pregevolissime pagine per flauto (metodi, studi, esercizi, composizioni).
Propongo una mia esecuzione di "Marsyas", compresa all'interno della sua "Suite Mythologique", eseguita su un flauto Powell in grenadilla.
