Severino Gazzelloni (Roccasecca, January 5, 1919), was an Italian flutist. Gazzelloni was the principal flautist with the RAI National Symphony Orchestra in Rome for 30 years and dedicatee of many works. Composers including Luciano Berio (Sequenza I for solo flute, 1958), Pierre Boulez, Bruno Maderna and Igor Stravinsky wrote pieces for him.
One of the best flutist of the XX century, Rampal was born on January 7th, 1922 in Marseille. He is an excellent representative of the French flute tradition. Many composers wrote pieces for him.
